MTV Games, the video game division of MTV Networks, and Harmonix Music Systems creator of Rock Band, are looking for a Coordinator of Operations Planning to assist in the manufacturing and distribution of video game software and peripherals. The Coordinator of Operations will need to have experience working in manufacturing and operations that delivers the high quality products on schedule and on budget. This position reports to the Director, Operations MTV Games.

Responsibilities:

• Involvement in setting-up a buying plan in conformity with the sales forecasting and also input in a global planning for the production process.
• Financial management and Purchase Order processing.
• Management of the relationships with First party manufacturers (console manufacturers such as Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft).
• Assist Director of Operations with all activities relating to manufacturing, distribution, inventory control and warehousing on a global basis.
• Management of the sourcing of the best mix of suppliers, overseeing the negotiation of deal terms with them, and maintaining the relationships.
• Clearly communicate across various departments to ensure deliverables are understood, projects prioritized and deadlines met.
• Work with the team to refine the manufacturing process to improve efficiency, and cost reduction

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of Operations experience within the toy, videogame, DVD or consumer electronics industries and a successful track record in the areas of supply chain management, vendor relationships, and generation of large scale cost savings.
• Experience with MRP systems and EDI.
• Proven track record in a procurement-oriented position.
• Proven experience working with operations teams through the manufacturing life cycle.
• Project estimation, planning and management skills.
• Demonstrated skills in organizing resources, establishing priorities, estimating schedules and deliver projects on time
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Bachelor’s degree required but applicable progressive experience in manufacturing operations within the above mentioned industries may be considered in lieu of education.
• Strong business ethics.
