Responsibilities:
* Be responsible for game design on a new musical video game.
* Work with the production team to maintain solid documentation and organization of design vision.
* Work with artists, engineers and designers to implement and tune game play while maintaining the creative vision and “fun-focus.”
* Work closely with members of the production team to execute design and work through design revisions as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years experience designing games, 5 years desired

Job Description:

MTV Games, the video game division of MTV Networks, is searching for a Vice President of Product Development to manage various video game initiatives related to music games, action adventure games and products based on MTV Networks brands. The Vice President Product Development is the key executive driving, planning and directing the production aspects of development cycles of all MTV Games’ products. The primary focus will be to manage all upcoming products in conjunction with MTV’s exclusive deal with internationally renowned motion picture and television producer Jerry Bruckheimer to develop and create new and original video games, seeking out and delivering new game concepts and intellectual property. The VP will also be the point of communication for MTV Games on the products in Harmonix pipeline.
The VP will oversee, evaluate and recommend possible new product opportunities for senior leadership. The VP plans and directs all development and production of MTV Games products and may share accountability with other senior executives for key product development performance metrics. The VP is also responsible for ongoing management and resource allocations to products, product development cycles, contract negotiations and developer relations.
The VP will manage a team of MTV Games producers and is the key studio contact to assess the pipeline of products and the strategic development plans. Part creative, part manager, the VP will research products, champion ideas and trends that connect strongly with the MTV Games brand, establish pipeline priorities and always pushing the envelope to discover what is the next big thing for MTV Games.
